With the announcement of new investments of 10 billion euros in the Spanish industrial hub of Sagunto for a battery factory from the first quarter of 2023, the Volkswagen Group has shown three new sketches of the electric citycars of the Volkswagen, Skoda and Cupra brands that will arrive in 2025 and will belong to the B-segment and will be produced in the group’s Martorell plant, which has always been the home of Seat.

The three sister cars will be built on the Meb platform of the group inversion shortened (just over 4 meters in length), and, according to what was stated by the ceo of Volkswagen Herbert Diess will be introduced on the market at a price between 20 and 25 thousand euros.

The sketches show the early stages of the creation of the Volkswagen ID.1 (different in shape from the ID.Life concept unveiled at the 2021 Munich Motor Show), Cupra UrbanRebel and the small Skoda that is not currently anticipated to be a concept car. The ID.1 is reminiscent in its lines of substance of the ID.3 sedan, while the small Cupra and Skoda have moved more squared-off lines.
