Maurizio Corbi, senior car designer at Pininfarina, won the “La Bella Macchina” award at the Concorso Italiano 2022, the event dedicated to Italian cars at Monterey Car Week in California. The designer was also inducted into the kermesse’s Hall of Fame for having worked on numerous projects including many Ferraris such as the 1989 F456 GT (whose interior design was chosen), the 1990 F50 and the F355. “Being a designer for Ferrari at Pininfarina during this extraordinary period was a real privilege. The team was called upon to create a new design language for the world’s most famous car manufacturer. The projects were fascinating and challenging and we were given the freedom and time to bring them to life. During these 33 years, I have experienced exciting moments. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to live through the extraordinary 1990s and helped shape many Ferrari models that are now considered true masterpieces,’ said Corbi.

“We are thrilled to present Maurizio’s work to Concorso Italiano enthusiasts and honour his contributions over a long career by inducting him into our event’s Hall of Fame and presenting him with the La Bella Macchina Award,” said Tom Mc Dowell President of Concorso Italiano.
