Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq 5 N – the N’s first high-performance all-electric model – at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The exterior of the electric sports car is characterized by many design elements aimed at improving performance, such as the redesigned bumpers and the rear wing spoiler, which in addition to giving a sporty look to the model, maximize its driving potential. The N version is further distinguished from the Ioniq 5 by its black details and modified proportions. It is overall 20 mm lower, widened by 50 mm at the bottom to accommodate wider tires, and 80 mm longer with a pronounced rear extractor.

At the front, the N Mask band connecting the headlamps is equipped with functional elements, which are combined with aerodynamic elements and active deflectors for greater cooling. A spoiler runs through the lower part of the bumper to emphasize the low suspension of the car and convey its vocation to high performance. The “Luminous Orange” line characterizes the black base of the front bumper and continues along the side skirts, giving it a racing car look. At the rear, the prominent wing spoiler and extractor highlighted by orange details, help manage airflows to support optimal aerodynamic performance, while also visually emphasizing high-performance capabilities with aggressive styling. The spoiler incorporates the triangular-shaped third brake light, exclusive to the N range, as well as the rear wiper.

The newly developed steering wheel features the N logo for the first time, flanked by the typical buttons for selecting the desired driving mode. The paddles are optimally positioned within reach of the driver to activate the N e-shift and N Pedal functions. The center console is optimized for track driving with knee supports, as well as a sliding armrest. The N seats are equipped with reinforcements, so that, even in the event of strong lateral acceleration during turns, they firmly support the upper and lower body to maintain a stable posture at all times. The seats are positioned about 20 mm lower than the traditional version, and are designed for customers who want a high-performance drive. The Ioniq 5 N is powered by two electric motors for a total power of 609 horsepower powered by an 84 kWh battery.
