Aston Martin has unveiled the new DB12 Volante. A companion to the recently unveiled DB12 Coupé, the first of the British brand’s new generation of sports cars, this open model combines the spectacular performance and handling of a Super Tourer with the irresistible sensory emotions of low-roof driving. “The creation of convertible sports cars has always held a special place at the heart of Aston Martin, starting in 1965, with the introduction of the first Flying model, the legendary Short Chassis,” said Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin.

“It has been and will always be a fundamental aspect of our way of understanding design. The new DB12 Volante once again conveys this concept. We have devised a graceful and muscular exterior line, which reflects the incredible performance of the vehicle, with a clean and modern interior.” Stylistically, the DB12 Volante adds an unforgettable touch to the Coupé’s bold and bold exterior design. Taking advantage of the lowered suspension, made possible by the ingenious K-Fold roof mechanism, the Aston Martin design team has achieved an elegant and athletic shape that looks sensational with the roof both raised and lowered.

The stretched fabric soft top gives the DB12 Volante a distinctive appearance that is not the prerogative of convertibles with a folding metal roof. Once lowered and hidden under the sculpted rigid tonneau, the Volante plays its trump card: the elegant uninterrupted beltline reveals the opulent cockpit and culminates in a muscular and slender tail, which dwarfs the efforts of rivals with compromised packages.
