Lotus has announced the appointment of Ben Payne as Vice President of Design, Lotus Group. Ben recently led the team responsible for developing the design of the Eletre Hyper-SUV, the company’s first vehicle that marks a milestone for the British brand of the Geely group. Payne succeeds Peter Horbury, who passed away in June.

In his new role, Ben will oversee all Lotus brand design, working closely with the group team and also collaborating with the sales team to drive Lotus’ growth. “Having worked closely with Peter over the past five years, it has been a privilege to call him a friend and mentor in shaping global creative leadership and influencing my design philosophy. It is an honor to take on this new role and I am excited to further elevate the brand globally,” said Ben Payne.
