At the first EV Day, held in Korea and set to be repeated annually, Kia unveiled three new models of small and medium-sized all-electric vehicles, reaffirming its ambitious goal to globally lead and accelerate the ‘EV revolution’ of mobility. Kia reaffirmed its aim to make electric mobility accessible to more and more people and to do so by introducing electric vehicles in more market segments. EV Day was the occasion for the presentation of the EV5, a 100% electric compact SUV designed for the needs of millennials’ families. Featuring styling inspired by the principles set out in Kia’s unique ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, EV5 combines exceptional versatility and comfort with advanced technology, dynamic performance and cutting-edge safety for a perfectly balanced vehicle. EV5 features a cabin that completely reinvents the interior space. Drawing inspiration from the EV9, the recently launched larger SUV, EV5 offers a spacious interior that in concept and execution is more akin to the living room than the cabin of a traditional car.

Kia EV4

The Concept EV4 represents the essence of ‘Power to Progress’ by ‘Opposites United’. The presence of the four doors leads one to classify it as a sedan. In reality, the sharp, striking lines do not simply introduce a sedan, but a new type of electric car that becomes a symbol of innovation. An aggressive front end completes the technological and progressive line of the Concept EV4. Featuring a wide and imposing appearance, with headlights positioned vertically at the outer edges of the bonnet and front bumper, the Concept EV4 becomes a symbol of Kia’s determination to push the boundaries and accelerate the revolution towards electric vehicles. The cabin features a spacious and elegant interior designed to welcome, invigorate and inspire the driver and his passengers. An expansive, minimalist yet attractive, horizontal architecture combined with a modern aesthetic creates a linear, invigorating space where passengers can feel at ease, free to relax and focus on their interests.

Kia EV3

The most compact is the EV3 concept, the Korean brand’s vision for a compact electric crossover offering maximum functionality while maintaining a high degree of driving pleasure. For this concept car, Kia’s designers drew great inspiration from the pillar of the ‘Joy for Reason’ philosophy. “Joy can be seen as the antithesis of reason. The former is a positive and emotional response, while the latter responds to logic,” said Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of the Kia Global Design Centre. The Concept EV3’s cabin design, with its forward-extending windscreen and long sloping roofline, creates a unique silhouette. The defined design of the squared-off wheel arches, cut at asymmetrical angles, stands out in an unexpected and striking ensemble. This is contrasted by the wraparound windscreen and the bumpy C-pillar, which connect the surfaces of the passenger compartment and give the roof a ‘floating’ appearance.
