Ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan later this month, Nissan will unveil a series of electric concept cars, the first of which is the Hyper Urban. The concepts are characterised by the word hyper, to express the excitement they are intended to arouse. Each concept is represented by a symbolic character and has distinctive features that add value to unique lifestyles and different aspirations. The styling of the Hyper Urban suits the sophisticated tastes of its target customers, such as urban and suburban professionals who prioritise environmental sustainability.

The Nissan Hyper Urban will be integrated into the electric vehicle ecosystem with its V2H function that provides power to homes, saving significant energy costs and reducing pressure on the grid. With V2G technology, owners can supply energy to the grid to support the local community and profit from it. The car represents the future design and technological capabilities of Nissan’s electric offering. The car’s lime yellow exterior changes colour depending on the angle at which the light hits it, thus attracting attention while blending into its surroundings. The front and rear doors open vertically, while the sporty silhouette has excellent aerodynamic performance for high efficiency.

The interior is designed to blend into urban spaces. Inspired by kaleidoscopic triangles, the dashboard and display can be customised by the owner to suit his or her taste. In addition, the front seats can be folded into the rear seats, creating a comfortable sofa-like space. When away from the daily grind, the Hyper Urban manages to seamlessly integrate relaxation and usability: park it inside a loft or bungalow so that it becomes an elegant and comfortable space.
