Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos is set to lead the Alfa Romeo design team. According to sources familiar with the matter, the Spanish designer will begin his new professional adventure in Turin in July. He will take over the role from Daniele Calonaci, who will remain head of Jeep design.

Mesonero-Romanos left Dacia design direction a week ago after just six months in charge. In July 2020 he had decided to follow Luca de Meo to the Renault group after having been head of design at Seat and Cupra for almost 10 years.
