Kia has released the first sketches of the new Carens, a seven-seater car dedicated to the Asian market and India in particular. Like the latest models from the Korean manufacturer, the Carens has been designed according to the new “Opposites United” stylistic philosophy, which was launched with the electric EV6.

The new design language is inspired by the contrasts found in nature and humanity. This philosophy is based on five strong pillars. Audacity for nature, joy for reason, power for progress, technology for life and tension for serenity. The exterior boasts high-tech styling details. The designers have also achieved Kia’s Tiger Face on this model through a pronounced grille, LED headlights with subtle daytime running lights and a strong overall appearance.

The interior has been designed around the wrap-around design of the dashboard where there is a 10.25-inch screen in the centre to manage the infotainment system. Lots of new details including a chrome finish applied to the doors which gives the impression of a higher quality interior. “The Carens successfully combines sportiness with a sophisticated personality and style with a unique aesthetic,” said Karim Habib, Senior Vice President and Head of Kia Design Center.
