Automobili Pininfarina inaugurates a new chapter in its history by presenting the world’s first electric Barchetta at Monterey Car Week: the B95. The design of the B95 is exemplified by the full-width wraparound body that is arranged around the front fenders. The higher swage line gives the body an extraordinary muscular appearance. From inside the cabin it offers a sense of safety and comfort while connecting passengers with their surroundings. The car will be built in only 10 specimens.

“The silhouette of the Barchetta is immediately recognizable, but our task was to make it extraordinary. The combination of classic proportions with refined details allowed us to create something truly special. We are giving customers the opportunity to drive a dream with the B95, an event that determines the progress of the brand,” says Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer of Automobili Pininfarina. Pronounced wheel arches emphasize the shape and strength of the vehicle allowing the design team to add additional conformation between the wheel arches and the body. This allows the control of reflections from the bodywork, adding depth and quality to its design.

The cabin is the epitome of the classic race car that meets futuristic design, with a dashboard inspired by concept cars and a cabin environment that gives safety and comfort to passengers. From the driver’s seat, the large dashboard seems to merge with the exterior, extending the characteristic lines of the bonnet into the passenger compartment, as seen in the PURA Vision design concept. Thanks to the sculptural dashboard in carbon fiber, a cantilever wing effect is created. The dashboard is covered with Tan Sustainable Luxury Leather with custom embossing that contrasts with the brushed finish of black anodized aluminum placed elsewhere.

The seats, always finished with Tan Sustainable Luxury Leather, are inspired by those of a classic racing car and are designed to accommodate the passenger. Both seats have been profiled to pamper the driver and passenger to ensure comfort and protection, with a two-part design inspired by the seats found in PURA Vision, with exclusive aluminum inserts. The headrests featuring Pininfarina’s electro-welded logo are finished with Houndstooth Luxury Textile houndstooth Houndstooth while contrasting black and light brown stitching continues on the seats, door interiors and dashboard. There are unlimited customization opportunities for B95 collectors to ensure that each of the 10 examples is unique.
