Peugeot presented the new E-3008, a mid-size SUV built on the STLA Medium platform from the Stellantis group. “The E-3008 brings together the inventiveness and audacity of the brand and embodies all our values. Reinventing this model means working on its modernity, reconciling dynamic design with optimal efficiency through a fastback silhouette and innovating with a new generation of our Panoramic i-Cockpit,” explains Peugeot design chief Matthias Hossann. The model has a new fastback SUV architecture and a dynamic, aerodynamic silhouette (Cx 0.28) that allows it to combine elegance, efficiency and roominess.

The dynamism of the lines also derives from the vehicle’s balanced dimensions (4.54 metres long, 1.89 wide and 1.64 high), making it one of the most compact 100 per cent electric SUVs in the C segment, while offering ample space for passengers and luggage. The model introduces a new front-end treatment: while the brand’s iconic three-claw light signature has remained in place, the treatment of the headlights and grille is new. The front end is designed around the new Peugeot logo and integrates the new light signature and the frameless grille, thanks to a shading of the body colour. The ultra-slim headlamps are housed in a fascia that sits above the radiator grille and wraps around the entire front end.

The design team modernised the traditional slant of the fastback line at the rear of the car with a ‘floating’ spoiler. This innovative element enhances the profile of the body, optimising aerodynamics. In addition, the concealment of the side window seals in the doors contributes to the streamlined design of the car’s sides. The number of decorative inserts on the bodywork has been reduced and all chrome parts have been eliminated.

In addition to the spectacular 21-inch panoramic screen of the new Panoramic i-Cockpit, the cabin’s attractiveness and technological character are enhanced by customisable LED ambient lighting in eight different colours. This illumination is reflected in an elegant real aluminium trim that stretches the length of the dashboard and extends generously over the door panels. The central part of the dashboard houses i-Toggles, virtual, touch-sensitive buttons that can be customised to provide quick access to as many as 10 of the user’s favourite functions.
