The first generation of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer was a breakthrough car for the Munich brand: in fact, it was the first MPV of the German brand, as well as the first model to adopt a front-wheel drive scheme. Today, with the second generation, the German multispace continues to evolve both in style and content. On the outside, the new 2 Series Active Tourer has grown by 32 mm, now reaching 4.38 metres, showing a more dynamic look with a sporty flavour, in line with BMW’s latest stylistic language.

So, at the front, the scene is dominated by the large double kidney grill, next to which there are standard full-led lights, but on request there are also matrix ones. Lower down, the style of the bumper changes according to the trim: more elegant and with a “tech” feel on the entry level and Luxury models, and sportier on the M Sport.

The sides of the car have also been revised, with the door handles now flush with the bodywork, while the rear exhaust has disappeared and the headlights have been tapered, making their horizontal development more elegant. But the real changes are those made inside. Once on board, you will find yourself in an elegant and technological space, which takes many elements from its electric sister iX. The iDrive gear shift has disappeared, replaced by a more discreet selector mounted on a suspended tunnel, which frees up a lot of space in the front part of the cabin.

From the iX also comes the Curved Display, which put side by side two screens measuring 10”25 and 10”7, the first is for the dashboard, the second is for the infotainment system. A modern solution that gives a pleasant technological touch to the interior of the car.
