The time has come for a restyling for the seventh generation of the Opel Corsa, the German compact car that has been on the market for more than 40 years. The designers at the Rüsselsheim (Germany) style centre led by Mark Adams have made this small bestseller more modern and elegant. The most striking element is the Opel Vizor, which distinguishes all new models from the German manufacturer. The front is defined by a black grille that integrates a grille, LED headlights and the Opel logo, available in black or satin silver. The air intakes in the lower part of the bumper are larger and more prominent than in the previous generation.

In the side view one notices the cut C-pillar that seems to allow the roof, available in black (depending on trim level), to float above the vehicle. The rear also offers a recognisable image of the model: as already seen for the first time a few months ago on the limited edition ‘Opel Corsa 40’, the ‘Corsa’ lettering now appears in the centre of the tailgate. And the new Grafik Grey colour makes it even more noticeable.

Inside there is a modern and pleasant atmosphere. New seat fabrics, as well as the gear lever and steering wheel design, contribute to the sense of modernity. The dashboard is completely digital and conveys a new infotainment system. As in the development of the latest generation of the Astra, the ‘Detox to the max’ principle was applied to minimise physical buttons inside the cabin. Both the display of the 10-inch colour touch screen of the navigation and multimedia system and the instrumentation have been made even clearer, so that all important information can be read quickly. Finally, for the first time, smartphones compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be connected to the vehicle’s multimedia systems and charged wirelessly.
